What I am thankful for this year?
What I am thankful for this year?
I am thankful I have my son. We are fighting cancer and we have won so far.
I am very grateful every day he is able to give me a hug and tell me he loves me.
To have a roof over my head, as many others do not.
To be able to say, that I have so many friends that are very dear to me. With out them I would not be able to push on and give the good fight.
I am happy that I a able to be an advocate for brain cancer.
Ladies, I am very happy to have all you of crafty girls in my life.
Over the past few years I have really grown to be a better person.
To laugh over the small stuff and even giggle when I am having a bad day.
My point is for YOU to have a good day. Make the best of it, no matter what situation you are in.
Taking life day by day, hurdle by hurdle.
Life is short, enjoy it!
Here is my recipe for Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients1/2 (4-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 1/2 cups canned pumpkin, mashed
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg plus 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1/2 cup half-and-half
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
I did not use a mixer I beat it slowly by hand:)
Preheat and bake at 350 for 1 hour

Boosting etsy review for sandyvern
Our soaps are made from scratch using the old-fashioned cold process method of combining various oils, butters, and lye in just the right amounts to create a luxurious soap that we are proud to offer to you. We make all our soap in very small batches so we have precise quality control over the entire process. After curing for 4 - 6 weeks, we hand-cut and individually package each soap. You know you are getting a soap that is finely crafted and one-of-a-kind!
We also make various molded soaps using a combination of quality goat milk and shea butter bases, as well as oatmeal and honey bases. Molded soaps are great as party favors or wedding or shower favors.
Other items to look for in our shop are whipped shea butter, lotion bars and lip balms.
Most items can be custom made...if you are looking for a particular color...or particular scent...convo me and let me know what you are looking for...I will be happy to make something special for you!

Owl Soap
A single owl on a branch. It could be Hedwig or any of the other Hogwart's owls.
The Owlery is a room on the top of Hogwarts Castle's West Tower, where the school owls and the owls belonging to students live during the school year. The Owlery is a circular stone room, rather cold and drafty, because none of the windows had glass in them. The lack of glass on the windows allow the owls to come and go freely. The floor was entirely covered in straw, owl droppings, and the regurgitated skeletons of mice and voles. Many owls were nestled here on perches that rose right up to the top of the tower. During the winter months, the room is very cold, to the point that one has to be careful with ice on the higher landings.
Shea butter base (if you would like another soap base convo me). Scented with an oatmeal, milk and honey fragrance (if you would like another fragrance please convo me)
Every Hogwart student would be happy to have a bar of Hogwarts soap stashed away in their trunks! This bar is made from a shea butter base, colored with a hint of purple for House Unity and scented with Lavender.
Bars vary but are between 5-6 oz each.

The Poison Garden is home to three charmingly eccentric and impressively crafty ladies. Suzette, the butterfly queen, Crystal the pumpkin tender and Melissa the toad catcher. Having never grown up at all, no decision was ever made between them as to whether they would like to be Victorian ladies, swashbuckling pirates, playful fairies, bloodsucking vampires, steampunk captains, or feathered Indians. As a result of this indecision, their outfits are quite colorful, resulting in endless commentary from the disapproving neighbors. The Ladies spend most of their time creating the fantastical adornments of their vivid imaginations. Using found material, vintage jewelry, ribbons, beads, feathers, bones, crystals and more to bring you original jewelry, accessories, decor and artworks.

These are so sixties! These were used everywhere from the bathroom wall to napkin holders. Not sure if this little guy stood alone or was once part of another item. There are no signs that it broke off of anything....
Measuring 4" tall by 3 1/2" wide and about 3/4" thick.
His wonderful eyes say it all! He looks great as is, or could be incorporated into a handmade piece, or where ever you can imagine. In Hawaiian an owl is called a pueo (pu-aye-oh). The only species that we have here is indiginous and considered to be good luck if they fly directly over you.

Every town has them, those cook books featuring local celebrities, business people, or just everyday people's recipes. I love them, you find the best recipes in them and they all seem to be assembled from the heart!
This little book was a created as a Band Booster fund raiser for Kalani High School, a local public school on the east side of Oahu, it contains over 100 recipes.
The recipes include island favorites such as a Tofu, Ahi, Pineapple, Rice, Coconut, and fuses them into dishes such as Roasted Veggie Sushi or Curried Avocado Ahi Sandwich, and even a Mexican influenced raw fish dish: Poke' Ole!
The cover shows a little wear at the binding, but is in other wise very good vintage condition.
Where else would you find these incredible recipes! Not to mention the beautiful vintage Hawaii artwork!

When my sons were little, I would sing them to sleep with the nursery rhyme "You Are My Sunshine." Now that they are older, cuddles consist of discussions about anything and everything important to an eight and eleven year old.

A vintage filigree butterfly, rescued from a once forlorn necklace is dazzling with rhinestones.
Four gray wild flowers, accented by silver glass beads, hand formed from recycled material suspend the butterfly.
A vintage elliptical Czech glass crystal on each side add shine and sparkle to the antiqued brass chain.
Approximately 20" long, gold tone hook and loop clasp.

Fabric Flower Necklace
My second favorite is this beauty!
Deep vivid fuchsia silk fabric, recycled and reclaimed, blossoms into a heartbreakingly beautiful flowers accented by rhinestones with wanton sparkle!
A snippet of black and gold sequined and beaded lace peek from underneath the shabby blooms.
Faceted black crystals on one side further the notion of darkness and mystery in this asymmetrical necklace. Roses are suspended from a fine antiqued brass chain with hook and loop closure.
Approximately 17" long.

Straps have a 15.5 inch drop. They are constructed with 4 layers of fabric and 4 layers of heavy weight interfacing.
There is a total of 8 pockets, 4 interior and 4 exterior. You can never have enough pockets. They measure 4 to 4.5 inches wide by 6 inches deep.

You will never see a piece of our jewelry sold and re-listed. Debbi doesn't draw a design first, and rarely buys in bulk. She just piles her beads in front of her, and let's the jewelry design themselves. She feels that if you wanted to look like everyone else, you would be shopping at Wal-mart. But we're awfully glad you're here instead!

Custom painted wedding banner
A hand painted beautiful banner to declare your love for the world to see on your special day. Each design is different so you can be sure of yours being a one of a kind rememberance. I can repeat the designs of your invitations, like the banner for Jennifer and John, or use one of my mother's designs, like the banner for Janine and Matt, or create a totally uinque design like Kelly and Pauls' banner. Sketches will be sent for approval before completing, so it will be totally personalized for the bride and groom. I will just need two weeks after ordering to complete the banner and allow the paint to dry before shipping. The banner is sealed so it is mostly weather-resistant to hang on the back of the vehicle if desired, but never tested in a down-pour.
Ring bearer pillow
A beautiful white handmade crochet pillow to carry the rings down the aisle. Perfect for both the traditional ceremony, or add a bright color ribbon for a more contemporary look. The size is 10" x 10", the perfect size for little hands. The crochet pattern is copied on the back, and the ribbon is not sewn on so you can replace it with the color of your choice.

Little silver-toned lock and key pendants on this silver-tone ball chain necklace.
The necklace measures 22 inches (56cm). The lock is 3/4 in (2 cm) and the key is 7/8 inch (2.4 cm).
A double strand of oblong and round faceted black onyx make a stunning necklace to complement any outfit. It measures approximately 22 inches (56 cm).
Onyx is the stone of strength. It can bring about stamina and self confidence. It helps the mind to focus and absorb sorrow.
The oblong beads measure about 33mm.
Large round faceted beads are about 12 mm.
The small round faceted beads are about 5mm.
Note: The little white spots that appear on the necklace are a reflection from my camera and not actually on the stones.
